Battersea Bookshop is a neighbourhood independent bookshop from Stanfords with a wide selection of books focusing on art and architecture, a special area for children’s books and an event hub. As well as books, we also sell stationery, games and bespoke gifts with a quirky, industrial theme.

Situated on the ground floor of the Turbine Hall B, Battersea Bookshop showcases some of the unique architectural elements of the iconic Battersea Power Station.

Our aim at Battersea Bookshop is to provide a bookshop that brings the local community together through book groups, collaborations with local schools and community organisations. Our events space can be used for launches, author talks, workshops, art and photography exhibitions. We also have an area in the shop to display photos and artefacts from the Power Station.

At the heart of our store we want to offer a service that truly reflects the ethos of independent bookshops where our staff get to know authors and customers so they can make recommendations and create a sense of community.

We can’t wait to meet you.

Battersea Bookshop is brought to you by Stanfords, the UK’s leading specialist retailer of maps, travel books and other travel accessories, having been established in 1853 by Edward Stanford. You can visit Stanfords at 7 Mercer Walk in Covent Garden.
